DJ Crosby, LPC (She/Her)

Staff Therapist

"Just because no one else can heal or do your inner work for you doesn't mean you can, should or need to do it alone." - Lisa Olivera.

In your work together, DJ aims to build a safe and collaborative space that fosters growth. She understands that life can be messy, even demanding; there will be hard days; and that’s okay. DJ approaches therapy with authenticity, compassion, and humor. She recognizes each individual requires a personalized therapeutic approach, and she aims to cultivate that early on in your time together. Through an integrative approach to therapy, with a focus on Acceptance and Commitment therapy, DJ prioritizes decolonization and anti-oppressive therapy modalities.

As a queer clinician, DJ strives to create and maintain a judgment free zone. Some areas of her focus include childhood trauma, relational trauma, religious deconstruction, attachment theory, anxiety, depression, stress management, and life transitions.

In her free time, DJ loves creating new memories and laughing until no sound comes out. When the weather isn't bad, you can find her by the lake with a good book, or tending to her outdoor garden. You can always find DJ listening to disco music, going to concerts, or cooking in her kitchen. DJ’s mantra: Life is what we make of it.

DJ practices therapy in Illinois and offers coaching anywhere.
