AL Kane, AMFT (She/Her)
Staff Therapist
Therapy can feel vulnerable, and I want you to know that you don't have to have it all figured out when we begin - whether this is your first time in therapy or you're looking for a new fit. My goal is to create a space where you can bring your whole self - all the parts of you that feel messy, "too much", or hard to name - and know that they're welcome here. Whether you're wrestling with who you really are, how to live more fully and joyfully as yourself, or how to heal from what you've been through, we'll explore it together at your own pace.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that you are not broken. I draw on mindfulness, body awareness, and an understanding of how oppressive systems shape our lives. Every person is unique, and I believe therapy should reflect that. We'll work to create sessions that feel tailored to you and where you're at. I value choice, consent, and moving at the speed of trust, while offering support and gentle challenges when it feels helpful.
Sessions with me are nonjudgmental and conversational - a place where you can be honest about what's really going on. I believe that healing doesn't happen in isolation, and that the relationship between us can be a powerful part of your growth.
Therapy has provided so much healing for me, and as a wounded healer, I'm honored and inspired to walk alongside people on their own unique path toward more joy and expansiveness. You've already taken a step by looking for a therapist. If we feel like a good fit, I'd be grateful to be part of your journey.
