Deepa Saharia, LMSW (They/She)

Staff Therapist

If you’re ready to look inwards and bring awareness to your emotions, needs, and challenges, welcome! In my work, I use a mixture of  curiosity and compassion, as well as the power of laughter and connection, to help you face whatever you have been wrestling with. As a provider within the queer and South Asian communities, I recognize the ongoing pressure that systemic inequality places on our lives. Blending experiential modalities like EMDR, AEDP, and IFS, our work will cultivate safety and fulfillment that may have been blocked by these systems of oppression.

I specialize in working with youth and adults, first and second-generation immigrants, LGBTQ+ people, survivors of interpersonal and systemic violence, and folks with chronic suicidality. If you’re feeling disconnected or alone, we’ll slow down to make sense of your pain so you can reconnect with parts of yourself that have been pushed aside. As we find your unique path to personal and collective healing, we can dream and build towards transformation so that you can live a freer life.

Our sessions will involve navigating charged relationships, releasing past traumas, healing emotional wounds, re-writing outdated taboos, and enhancing your self-worth. Although the therapeutic journey can be messy at times, it is within this messiness that there is space for transformation. No matter what brings you to therapy, I'm excited to walk with you on this path of growth and self-discovery. Together, we can empower your true self to create the space for the joy and pleasure you deserve.
