Kari Harrison, LCPC, CST (She/Her)
Staff Therapist, Clinical Supervisor
I am a queer-identified, licensed clinical professional counselor, and AASECT certified sex therapist with 12+ years of experience in both individual and relationship counseling in a variety of therapeutic settings. I believe that each client has a story to share, stemming from a diverse and unique background - and seek to hold clients in a safe, nurturing space that is truly their own. My conviction is that it is the relationship between the therapist and the client that is ultimately what heals, and when it works, it is immensely powerful. I am passionate about exploring ways to help clients discover their own resiliency and live more authentically, in order to create the mental and emotional space to reach their fullest potential.
I am emotionally-focused and relational in my therapeutic style - and support clients in a way that is tailored to their needs. I am currently pursuing certification in IFS (internal family systems) which is a somatic and experiential approach that supports my clients beyond traditional talk therapy. I work with a range of presenting concerns, including anxiety, identity development, grief/loss, phase of life transitions, relationship challenges, and sex therapy.
Collaborative relationships are at the core of my practice. I believe that the partnership between you - the expert on your wellbeing - and myself - a trained and experienced clinician - will produce the discovery of fresh insights and promote healing.
