Mackenzie Menter, MSW (All Pronouns)
Staff Therapist
I bring a background in storytelling and theatre to my work, which means I’m often thinking about the narratives you’ve been given, and the ones you want to rewrite. Together, we can explore your experiences in ways that feel authentic, empowering, and grounded in your values.
I aim to make our sessions warm, conversational, and nonjudgmental. I listen closely and reflect back what I’m hearing, and I’ll gently offer observations or questions that help you see things from new angles. Collaboration is at the heart of my work, and I prioritize identifying what matters most to you and setting goals that can evolve over time. I’ll support you in noticing patterns, trying new approaches, and building on your strengths at a pace that feels right.
I work with individuals and couples who are exploring identity, navigating life transitions, or untangling the impact of shame and systemic messages. I offer support through gentle challenges, helping clients build self-trust, deepen self-understanding, and create lives and relationships that feel more authentic and connected.
My path to this work started with a love of storytelling and a curiosity about how people make meaning of their lives. That continues to shape my approach today, and I’m constantly inspired by the ways clients rewrite their stories with more clarity, agency, and self-compassion. If you’re looking for a space to explore identity, relationships, or intimacy with honesty and care, I’d be honored to work with you.
