Mary Hellstrom, LMFT, CST (She/Her)
Staff Therapist, Clinical Supervisor
I seek to create a compassionate and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their stuck-points, blind spots, and questions. Clients who work with me can expect an atmosphere characterized by warmth, empathy, humor, and a deep commitment to the process of growth and change. Together, we will work to explore the parts of yourself and your experiences that feel unprocessed or misunderstood, shifting ingrained patterns and building healthier relationships with yourself and others in the process.
I work primarily with adults, both in individual and relational therapy. I tailor my therapeutic approach to each client, however my approach is rooted in relational therapy, with a focus on healthy, meaningful relationships with self and others as a central component of well-being. I also often draw on the wisdom of depth psychology, mindfulness, body-based practices, developmental theory, and parts-work.
I have ten years of experience as a therapist and coach and have worked with a wide range of individuals from various backgrounds. My approach is trauma-informed and attuned to dynamics of race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender, and class. I also have significant experience working with queer, trans, and polyamorous individuals and relationships. In addition to my training as a therapist, I am also an AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist.
If my approach feels right for you, please reach out to schedule a free 20 minute consultation.
