Staff Therapist
Therapy can be a gateway to the deepest and most intimate parts of who you are. There are so many ways that we are taught to run from ourselves, and finding our way back can feel overwhelming and intimidating. But together in therapy, I’m here to walk that journey alongside you!
I am a Black, queer, agender femme based in Philadelphia, PA. As I’m sure is true for you, my identities are essential to how I show up and move through the world. My practice is based in relational and liberationist values, centering client identity and experience in the pathway toward personal growth and healing from systems of oppression. Together, we will uncover the parts of ourselves that have been harmed and limited by social norms, begin the internal process toward self-awareness and self-actualization, and build toward personal confidence and honesty with the self. As your therapist, my main goal is to help clients and couples find and step into their most authentic selves, all while shedding social pressures to conform. I utilize relational, psychodynamic, sex-positive, and anti-racist therapeutic approaches, while emphasizing collaboration, trust, and self-determination first and foremost with my clients.
Coming from a background in institutional and systems-focused justice work, as well as with my personal lived experiences as a queer, Black, femme, I commit myself wholly to a trauma-informed, intersectional, and anti-oppressive therapeutic process and relationship with my clients. I work primarily with and continue to prioritize people of color, folks of biracial experience, folks across the gender and sexuality spectrum, individuals engaging in or interested in polyamory and/or EMN, folks reckoning with and healing from relational trauma and abuse, and more. I also work with couples on topics related to communication, attachment, sex/sexuality, non-monogamy, and interracial or inter-identity relationships.
